Blessings to all! Once again a late posting of our Sunday service. The calendar does seem to fill up around this time of year. I guess as long as it is getting filled with things that don’t distract us from the focus of this Advent season, it’s all good. Just returned home from an AWESOME event here at St John Meyersville. This evening was the first “Bethlehem Village” hosted by the Sunday school. There was a census being taken as you arrived at the village and, “Of course” taxes to be collected from all who entered. There were shops (booths) with pottery, carpentry, a bakery with hot chocolate and sweets, and some wise men were there as well. Shepherds where watching their flock in the field as angels were watching over them. Then there was  a candle lit path that led to the stable with Mary and Joseph and all the attendees of that first Christmas. What a festive place, this “Little town of Bethlehem.” The event was assisted by so many “helping hands” that they can not be listed and the children all played their parts so well and stayed in character for the 6 to 7 PM event (Well most of them, those shepherds are a rambling bunch. Nomads, always wanting to move on to the next green pasture, you know.) Anyway if you were there you can appreciate my excitement for the event. If not, you missed a “happening” quite fitting to end  the Advent season and have us ready to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Ok back to the Sunday Service links. They are below. Pastor John’s message was the perfect end to the Advent season and set the stage for the celebration and the more important question of our readiness for Christ’s coming again.

As always we hope this enhances your worship experience. We would like to invite you to our Christmas Eve worship services at 3PM and 10PM. Both will have opportunities for communion and the 10 PM will close with a candlelight hymn. We would love to have you worship with us in the sanctuary, in the parking lot on FM101.5, and on line here as always. Until the next opportunity to worship with you,  be safe and tell someone about this wonderful season and the event that started it all.
