3rd Sunday of Advent Service
Blessings to all! Passing the middle of the Advent season and the celebration of our Lord and Savior’s birth is just around the corner. In this mornings Gospel representatives of the Pharisees had visited John the Baptist inquiring “Who are you?” He responded he was neither the Christ or the prophet Elijah, but that he was “a voice crying out in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord.” Pastor John’s Advent message this morning asks each of us to search our daily steps and answer the question, “Are we John? Are we making straight the way of the Lord?” Are we preparing to celebrate Christ’s birth without inviting Christ in our lives. Are we prepared for Christ’s coming again? Advent is almost over. Christ birthday celebration is coming. Christ is coming. Are we ready?
Below are the links to the wonderful organ prelude presented by Bruce Weise, our organist and the service with a thought provoking message by Pastor John. We hope both inspire you in the coming week to “Be John” in your interactions with others. Be “the voice preparing the way for the Lord.”

1st Sunday of Advent Service
Blessings to All! This Sunday begins the start of a new Church year with the beginning of the Advent season. Pastor John began the service with a reading from Romans 8:24-25:
“Hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”
This opened the lighting of the 1st candle of the Advent wreath, the Prophecy Candle, a candle of hope. Advent means “coming and during this season we prepare for the celebration of Christ first coming and more importantly make sure we are prepared for His second coming. Pastor John’s message reminded us that there should be peace, not fear, in knowing that Christ is coming again. Below are links to the first and second parts of the service recordings on YouTube.
Have a great week and we hope you will be able to join us in worship a we pray for an end to this pandemic and the safety of all.

Thanksgiving Eve Service
Good evening all! Tomorrow marks the day set aside to thank God for the many blessings we are given by our Lord. What it should be is the beginning of each of our commitment to thank God by our actions throughout the coming year. Below is the link to this evening’s service. I apologize in advance for the lower quality of the audio of the recording. We had a equipment failure that we could not fix during the service. Turn the volume up and listen more closely, the service and message is worth the extra effort.
